Qualifications/Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
• Valid teaching certification for Special Education
• Experience working with medically fragile or nonverbal students preferred
• Effective classroom management and individualized instruction skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized lesson plans to meet diverse needs
• Adapt instructional materials and strategies to promote student engagement
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff
• Maintain up-to-date records and reports, ensuring compliance with IEPs and educational standards
• Provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive classroom environment
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities
