Full stack developer - C/C++

We are looking for Linux Engineers to join the team that maintains the critical infrastructure underlying the rest of Jane Street’s technology. Our group includes hard‑working systems, admin and DevOps specialists who collaborate on mission‑critical infrastructure and cloud services. Full‑time. Remote. Salary: $100,000–$120,000 per year. Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain Linux (Debian/Ubuntu and RHEL) production environments. Configure and administer virtualized infrastructure using KVM hypervisor and container platforms. Automate system configuration, deployment, and operations with Bash, Python, and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab). Manage backups, monitoring, and security compliance across servers. Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, performing root‑cause analysis and implementing long‑term fixes. Qualifications Configure, install, and administer Debian‑based (Ubuntu) and RHEL systems. Strong experience with Linux administration. Experience with KVM hypervisor virtualization. Proficient with Git and GitLab CI/CD for automated workflows. Excellent Bash and Python scripting skills.
