Description
The Janitorial Team is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of all guest and employee areas throughout the resort. This includes restrooms, common areas, garbage removal, event spaces, and facility upkeep to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests and staff, with a primary focus on weekend operations.
Essential Functions
- Clean, sanitize, and stock restrooms throughout operating hours.
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of lodges, common areas, walkways, decks, patios, and outdoor guest spaces.
- Monitor facility cleanliness and address issues promptly throughout the shift.
- Perform opening and closing cleaning procedures for assigned areas.
- Assist with event setup, cleanup, and teardown as needed.
- Maintain supplies and notify supervisors when inventory is low.
- Respond promptly to spills, hazards, and sanitation concerns.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager and other departments to support resort operations and special projects.
- Maintain the highest safety standards and code compliance for guests and staff daily.
- Provide friendly, professional interactions with guests while maintaining work areas.
- Other duties assigned by Manager, Senior Team, or VP/GM.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Must be able to deal with high volumes of people in a friendly, courteous manner.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be willing to adhere to the appearance code of the department.
- Must be reliable.
- Must be able to work Holidays and Weekends
- Must be able to stand entire shift.
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
- Can work with limited supervisory.
- Team player – be flexible and open to new ideas and changing priorities.
Other Skills/Abilities:
- Perform janitorial duties throughout all resort facilities as needed.
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with all departments.
- Remove garbage and debris from guest areas, parking lots, and grounds.
- Monitor and maintain restroom cleanliness, sanitation, and supplies throughout the day.
- Clean windows, doors, tables, floors, and other facility surfaces.
- Assist with seasonal deep-cleaning projects and facility maintenance support.
- Report maintenance, safety, or cleanliness concerns to supervisors promptly.
- Understand and follow resort customer service standards while interacting with guests.
- Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Team player—flexible, dependable, and open to new ideas and changing priorities.
