Shift: Day, 4x10-Hour shifts (08:00 - 18:30), including weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
Duration: Contract for approximately ongoing coverage
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Employment Type: Travel/Temporary position
Licenses/Certs: Valid Physical Therapist license; EPIC experience required
Experience: Minimum 1 year in acute care, burn unit experience preferred

Pay & Benefits

Hourly Rate: $56.95/hour
Pay package discussed upon application

What You'll Do

Provide physical therapy to burn patients with varying TBSA (0-100%) in an acute care setting
Assist with mobility, positioning, and scar prevention strategies
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Manage a patient caseload of up to 8 patients daily during peak season
Support outpatient therapy evaluations and treatments when time allows
Float across inpatient units to ensure comprehensive coverage
Work weekends and select weekdays, with varying weekday shifts as scheduled

What You Need

Valid Physical Therapist license in Louisiana or eligible for licensure
Minimum 1 year of experience in acute care or burn units
EPIC EMR system experience required
Ability to work weekends, float between units, and adapt to changing schedules
Strong mobility and positioning skills for burn patients
Ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize care effectively

Preferred

Previous burn unit experience is highly desirable
Flexibility to pick up additional shifts as needed
