Are you a detail-oriented, patient-focused professional with a passion for eye care? Join our team in Rockland Maine as a Certified Ophthalmology Assistant (COA) and play an essential role in delivering exceptional care to our patients.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform patient workups including visual acuity, history, and preliminary testing
  • Assist providers with examinations and in-office procedures
  • Administer diagnostic testing (OCT, visual fields, tonometry, etc.)
  • Educate patients on treatments, medications, and follow-up care
  • Document accurately in the electronic medical record

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Completion of the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel Ophthalmology Certified Ophthalmic Assistant requirements within 24 months of start date required.

The pay range for this position is $21.09 to $27.12 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
