Position Overview

An established hospital in Nags Head, NC is seeking a Locum Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for inpatient Emergency Department coverage. Candidates must have recent ED inpatient experience within the last 12 months.

This is a no-call opportunity within a collaborative and well-supported clinical environment.

21-bed hospital
24-hour Emergency Department
Average inpatient census: 20
Established team of 6 physicians and 3 APPs
Specialty consult availability: general surgery, orthopedics, cardiology, and telestroke
System-wide EMR: EPIC
No ICU/Critical Care duties
No call required
Provider responsible for responding to codes

Requirements

Active North Carolina license
Active NC DEA
BLS, ACLS, and PALS/APLS certifications (American Heart Association)
ED inpatient experience within the last 12 months required
Comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care setting

Compensation

$100 per hour
Weekly pay and malpractice coverage included.
