About The Role

GMKE is seeking an experienced and detail-oriente d Pre-Suit Paralegal to join our growing insurance defense team. This position will support attorneys in the management of pre-litigation bodily injury and liability claims from intake through resolution. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to manage a high-volume caseload, and experience working with insurance carriers, claim representatives, medical records, and settlement documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage a pre-suit caseload involving bodily injury and liability matters
• Review, organize, and summarize medical records and billing
• Communicate with insurance adjusters, clients, medical providers, and opposing counsel
• Draft correspondence, settlement packages, and demand responses
• Coordinate claim investigations and gather supporting documentation
• Maintain case files, deadlines, and status updates in the case management system
• Assist attorneys with case evaluations and settlement negotiations
• Order and review police reports, medical records, liens, and other supporting documents
• Prepare files for litigation referral when necessary

Qualifications

• Prior paralegal experience in insurance defense , personal injury, or bodily injury claims preferred
• Experience handling pre-suit matters strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal/case management software
