Job Title: Manufacturing Technician Location: Vacaville, CA 95688 Duration: 12 Months Job Type: Temporary Assignment Work Type: Onsite Shift: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday with alternating Saturdays -06:00 PM - 07:00 AM (approx. 13-hour shifts) Training Schedule: Please note that the training will be conducted on First Shift, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Upon successful completion of the training, employees will transition to the Night Shift for their regular work schedule. Summary: Responsible for producing innovative bio-therapeutic medicines by operating highly automated production systems and controls in a cGMP manufacturing environment. Maintains production areas in a constant state of inspection readiness while utilizing business systems for inventory and process management. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements through accurate documentation, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Supports the routine production of mammalian cell culture products, with a primary focus on cleaning, sterilizing, and operating fixed vessel systems for media preparation, fermentation, and harvest operations. Performs seed train operations, component dispensing, hazardous material handling, buffer preparation, filtration, and column chromatography operations while adhering to established safety and environmental guidelines. Responsibilities: Operate systems used to clean and sterilize tanks and filtration systems. Prepare materials required for manufacturing operations. Maintain accurate production documentation, including tickets, labels, and equipment readings, to support Right-First-Time operations. Escalate process issues to ensure timely resolution. Comply with cGMP, SOPs, and manufacturing documentation requirements. Operate automated production equipment and manufacturing systems. Support manufacturing operations to meet production schedules and demands. Assemble and prepare production equipment. Communicate effectively within a team environment. Work weekends, off-shifts, overtime, and other scheduled production hours as required. Follow cleanroom gowning procedures and PPE requirements. Handle hazardous materials and chemicals in accordance with OSHA guidelines. Perform physical tasks including prolonged standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, twisting, and operating manufacturing equipment. Utilize process automation systems, email, spreadsheets, and other computer applications. Operate powered industrial trucks after meeting DOT physical requirements and maintaining a valid driver's license. Required Skills: High School Diploma or GED required. Advanced college coursework, technical degree, or certification preferred. Mechanical aptitude or hands-on mechanical experience. Ability to work in a regulated, fast-paced cGMP manufacturing environment. Knowledge of cGMP regulations, SOPs, and manufacturing compliance requirements. Strong documentation and recordkeeping skills with attention to detail. Ability to adapt to changing operational priorities while maintaining a strong work ethic. Effective verbal communication and teamwork skills. Flexibility to work weekends, off-shifts, and overtime. Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including prolonged standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stair climbing, and working in a cleanroom environment while wearing PPE. Ability to operate powered industrial trucks after successfully completing the required DOT physical examination and maintaining a valid driver's license.
