Job Description - Project Development Project Manager - Bridge Division (2602259) TxDOT’s Bridge Division is looking for a Project Development Project Manager. This engineer will be part of a team of project managers who manage the Bridge Rehabilitation and Bridge Replacement Funding Program. This position utilizes bridge condition data and works with District and Division personnel to identify candidate bridge projects for replacement, major rehabilitation, or preventative maintenance. Once projects are selected, work with districts, consultants, and in-house design staff to develop bridge projects to improve bridge conditions. Ensures compliance with applicable federal and state laws, policies, procedures, standards and guidelines. Work requires contact with governmental officials and private entities. Employees at this level follow standard practices that do not require frequent supervision of details. Analyzes and reports on routine program funding change scenarios and their impact to individual project schedules. Assists project managers to establish realistic and achievable schedule baselines. Coordinates and/or monitors assigned projects/programs/plans. Performs and/or coordinates the review and processing of Plans, Specifications & Estimates (PS&E) submission, special specifications or special provisions. Recommends bridge replacement, bridge rehabilitation and repair of damaged bridges. Performs other job responsibilities as assigned. Transportation Engineer II - Performs all of the above plus Assists in developing and/or monitoring budgets. Verifies project eligibility and assists with ranking projects and funding. Makes presentations and represents TxDOT. Minimum Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related science bachelor's or higher degree accepted by TX PELS. Experience 4 years engineering, transportation engineering, or related engineering experience (Experience can be satisfied by full time or prorated part time equivalent).
