Additionally, this role performs the monthly fixed asset processing within the general ledger accounting system. The position interacts with operational and F&A leaders across the enterprise to obtain sufficient documentation to support fixed asset transactions and supports the overall Corporate Accounting month-end close.Job Description:KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned):Review fixed asset additions, transfers, and disposals for accuracy prior to being submitted for review and approvalInitiate/enter fixed asset transactions in the general ledger systemEnsure fixed asset documentation is complete and in accordance with policies and controlsAssist various divisions with fixed asset issues or questions, which may involve preliminary research and analysis related to fixed asset invoices, records, and transactionsMaintain, update, and enforce fixed asset accounting policy across entire enterpriseWork with IT to resolve any technical issues within the fixed asset module of the general ledger systemPerform monthly fixed asset processing and support fixed asset reconciliation processSupport month-end close with explanations pertaining to changes in fixed asset account balances across all divisionsParticipate in projects, which may include, identifying and implementing standardized processes and improvementsCreate and update department proceduresSCOPE & IMPACT:This position is part of the Corporate Accounting department and is responsible for reviewing support and entering approximately 100 fixed asset transactions per month as well as performing the monthly fixed asset processing. This position will work directly with the different divisions to ensure that all transactions are properly supported in accordance with our internal policy and US GAAP.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with 0-2 years of relevant experience or equivalentProficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and deadline drivenData entry skills with high level of accuracyUp to 5% Travel.PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:Experience with JD Edwards Enterprise One and PlanfulSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: NonePHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:Office environment / no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands.OTHER DUTIES: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the incumbent for this job.
