Commercial Litigation Associate | Garden City, NY – $200K + 1,800 Billables

Location/Schedule: Garden City, Long Island. Four days per week in the office, with some flexibility.

\n

Base Salary: $200K.

\n

Practice: 100% commercial litigation, with a balanced mix of plaintiff and defense matters.

\n

\n

What You’ll Actually Do:

• Manage commercial disputes from pleadings through resolution.
\n
• Draft and argue substantive and discovery-related motions.
\n
• Conduct written discovery and take and defend depositions.
\n
• Attend court conferences, hearings and mediations.
\n
• Work directly with clients and contribute to case strategy.
\n

Requirements:

\n

\n
• Five or more years of commercial-litigation experience.
\n
• Active New York Bar admission.
\n
• Strong drafting, motion-practice and discovery experience.
\n
• Ability to independently manage deadlines, client expectations and litigation strategy.
\n
• Construction, shareholder or foreclosure-litigation experience is helpful.
\n
