Senior Manager Grid Integration Engineering

Job Description Position Overview The Senior Manager, Grid Integration Engineering will provide technical and operational leadership across Invenergy’s generation, transmission, and large-load development portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Director, Grid Integration Engineering, this role will be responsible for coordinating engineering activities associated with grid-code compliance, advanced power system studies, large-load interconnections, and transmission integration initiatives. The position will serve as the day-to-day leader of the Grid Integration Engineering team and act as a key interface between Development, Interconnection, Grid Modeling, Engineering, Operations, OEMs, consultants, utilities, and system operators. The role will support project execution from early-stage development through commercial operation while ensuring compliance with evolving grid-performance requirements. This position requires strong technical expertise in power systems, interconnection processes, grid-code compliance, and advanced system modeling, combined with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum 10 years of experience in electric power systems, transmission planning, interconnection, power system studies, renewable generation, HVDC, or related fields. Strong understanding of power system dynamics, interconnection processes, and grid-code requirements. Experience reviewing or managing studies using PSS®E, PSCAD, TSAT, PSLF, PowerFactory, or equivalent tools. Experience working with utilities, ISOs, RTOs, OEMs, and engineering consultants. Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical projects involving multiple stakeholders. Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering. Experience with IEEE 2800 -2022, NERC reliability standards, and inverter-based resource integration. Experience with EMT modeling and model validation. Experience supporting large-load or data-center interconnection projects. Experience supporting HVDC, FACTS, or other advanced transmission technologies. Base Pay 175,000.00 - 205,000.00 USD Annual Bonus: 25% - 40% The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position.
