Eastman - Production Supervisor

Your Mission Supervise employees in the day‑to‑day operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity. Maintain and improve production throughout and work with the Production Manager to maintain direct labor cost. Ensure compliance with established run speeds and set‑up times. Address mechanical, operational, and technical downtime issues with the department. Provide support for on‑the‑job assignments and continuous improvement initiatives. Clearly communicate expectations to employees on shift. Review and initial quality check list at order start‑up and during run. Maintain all required logs and reporting documents and adhere to all safety regulations, procedures and policies. Email the Plant Manager and Services Manager with a recap of shift production by machine and list issues with any machine that did not meet production requirements. Train, motivate, and mentor employees (both new and existing). Conduct performance evaluations for all new hires (bi‑monthly) and operators (monthly). Enforce company policies, quality procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) by ensuring employees understand and follow rules, addressing non‑compliance on the shift it occurs, and documenting issues for further action. Maintain a positive working environment among employees. Monitor report offs and fill vacancies. Review, update, and approve shift timesheets daily. Participate in weekly and monthly meetings. Must be able to work any shift. Ability to self‑direct activities, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a changing environment with strong problem‑solving skills. Ability to work as part of a team and motivate others. Results‑driven, effective decision maker. Strong desire to train, coach, and develop others to improve performance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to use discretion with confidential and sensitive information. Maintenance and mechanical ability to troubleshoot. Must be able to use the following computer programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Strong analytical and organizational skills, detail orientation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate and communicate with all levels of employees and management. Other duties as assigned. Your Profile 3 years supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent and applicable work‑related experience. Previous experience with Lean, Six Sigma or other relevant continuous improvement methods preferred (not required). Technical training preferred (not required). Industrial safety training preferred (not required).
