Preschool Instructional Assistant (Paraprofessional)

Pay:  $23.79 per hour
Contract position- Year to year 

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday
• Day Shift
• No weekends

All About People is seeking caring, dependable, and enthusiastic  Preschool Instructional Assistants (Paraprofessionals) /CNA's to support young learners in a school setting. This rewarding role provides classroom and one-on-one support to students while working alongside teachers to help children achieve their educational and developmental goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with instructional activities and Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
• Provide one-on-one and small group academic, behavioral, and social support.
• Help students develop daily living, communication, and social skills.
• Monitor students to ensure a safe learning environment and proper use of classroom equipment.
• Observe, document, and maintain student records in accordance with federal, state, and agency guidelines.
• Assist students with personal care needs, including toileting, feeding, hygiene, and lifting when necessary.
• Escort or transport students to activities or appointments as needed.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and required training.

Qualifications

Required complaince items:

• High School Diploma or GED and AZ CNA certification
• One of the following : -Associate's Degree, Completion of 60 college credit hours or Valid Paraprofessional Certification ( this is a dealbreaker )
• Current Arizona Driver's License
• Level One fingerprint clearance card 
• CPR, First Aid,
• Crisis Intervention certifications (or ability to obtain within the required timeframe)

Preferred:

• Experience working with preschool-aged children or students with special needs
• American Sign Language (ASL) skills for supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Braille skills for supporting students who are blind or visually impaired
