Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized assessments and hands-on observation.
• Create tailored treatment strategies that target immediate goals while supporting long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver specialized speech therapy interventions aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Team up with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to devise cohesive care plans.
• Educate patients and their families, empowering them to continue progress outside of sessions.
• Provide occasional inpatient speech therapy services, ensuring seamless continuity in each patient's journey.
• Maintain meticulous documentation that aligns with relevant state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Stay informed about advancements within your field via continuing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Possession of a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification should be acquired within 30 days of hire.
