Law Clerk/AttorneyCGS is seeking a Law Clerk/Attorney to join our team supporting the legal mission of a large federal agency in Jackson, MS. This position will allow candidates to demonstrate expertise in providing litigation support tasks like legal research, legal drafting, and administrative support to multiple attorneys.Responsibilities include overseeing USAO's practice with regard to 28 USC §2255 (habeas corpus) matters, analyzing statutes, legislative intent, judicial precedents, agency rules and regulations, and law review articles, supporting AUSA by briefing attorney on pertinent facts, issues and case law, drafting legal documents for signature of appropriate attorney, and understanding all applicable laws and keeping abreast of any new developments.Position requirements include a law degree (J.D.), being licensed by a state bar, having a valid United States driver's license and dependable vehicle, demonstrated ability to utilize law library resources and working knowledge of online research tools, and proficiency in using Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.Contact Government Services (CGS) strives to simplify and enhance government bureaucracy through the optimization of human, technical, and financial resources.
