Summary

You will serve as a Production Machinery Mechanic in the Voyage Repair Team (VRT) of FLTREADCEN DET MID ATLANTIC PAX RIVER.

Duties

• You will utilize a variety of methods procedures and techniques to manufacture adjust relocate maintain align and install multi-functional mechanical electrical and pneumatic systems and components of ALRE production equipment.
• You will establish and perform preventative maintenance inspections in order to ensure efficient production processes and maintain mission readiness as well as diagnostic malfunctions early.
• You will interpret complex multi-view drawings sketches manufactures specifications and other technical material.
• You will maintain technically sophisticated machinery and equipment consisting of complex interrelationships among components.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Inspecting and maintaining industrial mechanical equipment such as: mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems as well as Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machines; 2) Performing routine corrective and preventative maintenance and on lathes mills drill presses and related shop equipment; 3) Performing general facilities maintenance and modifications such as: running support services to a machine and making foundations for a machine; 4) Establishing preventative maintenance schedules to avoid production delays; and 5) Using blueprints schematics diagrams and computer-based resources/research to perform repairs within allotted timeline.
