Step into a rewarding contract role dedicated to shaping the future for students with special needs. This opportunity offers four onsite Special Education Teacher positions for the 2026-2027 academic year, working within autism support classrooms complemented by strong PCA support. From August 18, 2026, through May 27, 2027, your expertise can make a significant difference in a well-resourced environment with a collaborative team.
Your schedule will run from 7:45 am to 3:15 pm, providing the structure and consistency needed to foster student development and achievement.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate required
- Experience in Special Education, ideally supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Comfortable collaborating with paraprofessionals and other classroom staff
- Strong skills in differentiated instruction, IEP development, and progress monitoring
- Patient, compassionate, and creative approach to individualized learning
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to students in autism support classrooms
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in partnership with families and support staff
- Maintain a positive, inclusive environment that nurtures student strengths
- Collaborate daily with PCAs and related service providers to maximize student growth
- Participate in professional development and ongoing training initiatives
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by school protocols
