About Us

Velocity produces “restomod” restorations where vintage vehicles are upgraded with modern parts, drivetrain, and technology making them functionally new while maintaining an original or vintage aesthetic. The company has pioneered a custom classic vehicle renovation via an assembly line process, ensuring a high level of quality control, with a known price, and significantly decreased build time. We have a talented team of 100+ employees and a 135,000 square foot facility in Cantonment, Florida where we are continuing to add additional production lines and new vehicle offerings.

Role Description

As a Development Administrator at Velocity, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Sales, Marketing and Customer Experience teams to success. This position reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Undertake project assignments as directed by the Chief Revenue Officer, employing a proactive and results-oriented approach to completion.
  • Create, develop and manage key documentation, spreadsheets and reporting tools for the Sales, Marketing and Customer Experience (SME) departments.
  • Involvement in daily activities across SME departments, aligning these functions with Velocity's strategic goals under the direction of the Chief Revenue Officer. This includes participating in and leading weekly department meetings, stepping into a Sales Executive role as necessary, and showcasing Velocity's heritage through detailed tours to both individual and business clients.
  • Conduct and apply continuous research on market trends to develop and implement innovative strategies for growth and excellence, ensuring Velocity remains at the forefront of its niche.
  • Streamline sales operations through HubSpot, managing tasks, efficiently distributing leads, conducting data audits, and updating vehicle tracking to enhance customer engagement and satisfaction. Utilize Monday.com for sales project management and maintain scorecards for monitoring performance metrics.
  • Coordinate logistical aspects for the sales team, including travel arrangements for events and managing the sales budget. Facilitate sales events, manage company merchandise inventory, and ensure promotional materials are prepared and available.
  • Undertake front office and administrative duties, from managing receptionist responsibilities to maintaining showroom and website accuracy, and oversee the spec lockdown process for vehicle production and delivery. This role requires a comprehensive approach to process and protocol implementation, aiming to achieve industry-leading standards across all facets of sales and customer service.

Success in this Role:

Minimum Expectations

  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in an effective and professional manner.
  • Work independently to complete projects assigned by the Chief Revenue Officer.
  • Learn the HubSpot CRM and implement workflows, automation, and sequences to improve lead interactions and close rates.
  • Ensure HubSpot is kept to up to date and minimize HubSpot documentation / reporting errors.
  • Document all meeting takeaway tasks and follow up with staff until completion.
  • Attend Velocity events to document activity and support the wider team.

Moderate Expectations

  • All minimum expectations.
  • Become Proficient level (or above) for Velocity product knowledge and history.
  • Become Proficient level (or above) in Velocity sales skills.
  • Improve lead assignment and response time by implementing follow-up procedures with Sales Executives.
  • Develop and implement a streamlined process for non-relevant inquiry assignment and qualification.

Exceeds Expectations

  • All moderate expectations.
  • Learn and utilize Shopify whilst working with other team members to relaunch the Velocity merchandise lines.
  • Assess the inside and outside sales budgets for potential areas of cost savings.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous automotive experience, preferably from a highly technical / parts related field.

Physical Demands (to include but not limited to)

  • Availability to travel regularly to events, including the use of a towing vehicle and trailer.
  • Must be physically able to operate a variety of equipment including computer, office equipment, telephone, etc.
  • Sit for long periods of time working at a desk, boardroom table, or at a computer.
  • Walk long distances across shop floor to communicate and gather information as needed.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and place items up to 20 pounds without assistance.
  • Occasional reaching overhead and below knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
