Reporting into senior leadership, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, building strategic customer relationships, and expanding the company's presence within key industrial markets. Key Responsibilities Drive new business development efforts and identify opportunities within petrochemical, oil & gas, refining, and industrial manufacturing markets. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, EPCs, contractors, and key industry stakeholders. Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by understanding their operations, challenges, and ongoing fabrication requirements. Generate and manage a healthy pipeline of opportunities and develop strategies to expand market presence. Partner closely with estimating, operations, procurement, and project management teams to ensure customer requirements are effectively communicated and executed. Conduct regular customer visits and maintain consistent engagement to strengthen relationships and uncover new opportunities. Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments to identify emerging opportunities and customer needs. Participate in networking events, trade associations, and industry functions to increase visibility and develop new business relationships. Maintain accurate CRM data, pipeline reporting, and forecasting information. Provide leadership with market intelligence, customer feedback, and recommendations that support long‑term commercial strategy. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Minimum of five years of business development, outside sales, account management, or related customer‑facing experience. Demonstrated success developing new business and building long‑term customer relationships. Strong communication, relationship management, and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Self‑motivated, highly organized, and comfortable working independently. Customer‑focused mindset with a proactive, solutions‑oriented approach. Preferred Experience Experience selling into petrochemical, oil & gas, industrial manufacturing, fabrication, or related industrial markets. Understanding of fabrication processes, structural steel, process piping, pressure vessels, modular fabrication, or industrial services. Familiarity with CRM platforms, pipeline management, and forecasting tools. Experience navigating complex industrial customer environments and collaborating across cross‑functional teams.
