Performance Responsibilities Works with preschool students and supports them in instructional and non-instructional settings. Reinforces learning of materials or skills and collects data initially introduced by the classroom teacher. Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of a fully licensed teacher. Completes any other duty or assignments as directed by the building Principal. Willingness to be trained in positive behavior techniques. Job Requirements Qualifications: AS Degree or 48 Undergraduate Credit Hours or Passing Grade on the Para Pro or other State Assessment for Paraprofessionals. Background in Special Ed training and/or coursework or willingness to participate in training. Experience working with children identified with Autism Spectrum Disorder –Pre‑K. Experience working in a preschool preferred. ASD safety care preferred. Reports to: Principal of North Elementary School. Terms of employment: In accordance with the existing bargaining agreement with the Somerset Paraprofessional Bargaining Unit. Salary: In accordance with the existing bargaining agreement with the Somerset Paraprofessional Bargaining Unit. Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
