Travel Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – CVOR

Location: Midland, Michigan

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields
• Set up and organize instruments, equipment, and supplies for cardiovascular procedures
• Assist surgeons during open-heart and cardiovascular surgeries
• Anticipate surgeon needs throughout procedures
• Perform accurate counts of instruments, sponges, sharps, and medications
• Monitor sterile technique and identify breaks in sterility
• Ensure all surgical equipment is functioning properly before procedures
• Float to General OR as needed during low CVOR volume, turnovers, breaks, and room openings

Requirements

• Minimum 5 Years of CVOR Experience Required
• Open Heart Surgery Experience Required
• Active NBSTSA Certification Required
• Active AHA BLS Certification Required
• Experience in a Tertiary Care Center and/or Level I or Level II Trauma Center Required
• Must be comfortable floating to General OR when needed
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and instrumentation
