Civil Rights Investigator

About the Role The Civil Rights Investigator will investigate complaints of discrimination and civil rights violations, enforce non-discrimination laws, conduct trainings, outreach, and provide technical assistance. Developing an investigative plan based on the discrimination complaint Conducting interviews and gathering relevant documents Reviewing and analyzing evidence Applying legal and analytical skills to investigations Writing investigative findings and making recommendations Conducting settlement conferences and negotiating settlement terms Maintaining case files and communications Ensuring work product meets procedural and technical standards Participating in training and community outreach events Qualifications Managing a large caseload successfully. Providing excellent customer service. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, OneDrive, SharePoint). Bachelor's degree in Public or Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Political Science, Law, or a closely related field. Two years of professional experience investigating civil rights complaints in employment, housing, and/or public places. Or associate degree plus three years of professional experience, or four years of professional experience; all details constitute equivalent background. Pay : $50.60 - $58.79 hourly, starting at Step 1. Working Schedule : Hybrid. Employees expected to be in office 2-3 times a week.
