Senior Strategy Manager

Choice Hotels, one of the world’s largest lodging franchisors, is seeking a Partnership Strategy & Operations Senior Manager in the Corporate Development & Strategic Alliances team. The role focuses on reimagining partnerships to create value for guests, franchisees, partners, associates, and shareholders, while expanding the university of value‑generating opportunities and evolving the platform for partnership growth. Responsibilities Partnership Strategy & Operations Leverage data to drive the formulation and execution of strategic initiatives that align with the Partnership Team and Choice’s overall business goals. Support the optimization of operational processes impacting the Strategic Alliances function to ensure efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement. Lead and manage strategic projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and successful outcomes; champion innovation and operational effectiveness. Establish performance dashboards and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of initiatives and improvements. Develop and own the end‑to‑end execution of the Strategic Partnerships playbook, partnering with internal stakeholders to document partner launch, onboarding, customer care, performance measurement and retention strategies. Review partner integration and launch protocols, customer care processes, and support operational activities, advising leadership on continuous improvement initiatives. Effectively communicate recommendations to senior leadership and external partners. Relationship & Stakeholder Management Develop and sustain long‑term relationships with key partners, ensuring mutual growth and success. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize existing relationships and generate incremental value. Support quarterly business reviews to discuss current performance and joint initiatives. Collaborate with legal, distribution, marketing, and technology teams for seamless coordination on partner initiatives. Navigate internal and external organizations to identify key stakeholders and decision makers, unblock issues and manage accordingly. Create visually engaging and concise presentations that communicate the business and financial merits of partnership strategies. Prepare presentations to executive leadership illustrating the risk/return characteristics of alliance opportunities. Produce tailored pitch decks demonstrating the strategic value of key initiatives for attracting and enhancing partnerships. Experience, Skills & Competencies Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Management, Hotel Management, or a related field. MBA or project‑management certification is a plus. Minimum five years of experience in consulting, strategy, partnership program implementation/operations, or related fields; hospitality experience is a plus. Background in consulting with a proven ability to build presentations and articulate recommendations to senior audiences. Experience managing multiple competing priorities, driving medium to large operational projects with external partners. Proven ability to collaborate with and influence internal partners across the enterprise. Clear communication of complex topics to senior leadership and stakeholders. Financial savvy to articulate strategic and financial merits of prospective relationships. Strong strategic thinker who can translate market trends and partner priorities into actionable roadmaps. Strong analytical acumen with attention to detail. High degree of intellectual curiosity, comfort with ambiguity, and structured problem solving. Highly proactive, autonomous, and willing to roll up sleeves when needed. Role type: Individual contributor. Reports to the Senior Director of Strategic Alliances and coordinates with the Senior Director of Commercial & Franchise Care Operations to drive partner implementation and manage program playbooks. Salary Range $114,000 to $135,000 annually, plus an annual bonus under Choice’s Management Incentive Plan.
