Civil Project Engineer - Land Development

CPH is seeking a talented entry‑level Project Engineer to join our dynamic and highly collaborative land development team. Department Civil/Municipal Location Sanford, FL Hiring Bonus of up to $10,000 for the selected candidate. Duties Include Assist in the development of project plans, including the scope of work, timeframe, and budget. Prepare and maintain documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications. Assist in the design and development of engineering solutions, including drafting and drawings. Conduct inspections and quality control to maintain high standards. Conduct research and analysis to support project design and development. Ensure the design and engineering work complies with industry standards and regulations. Assist in the preparation and evaluation of proposals. Ensure the projects comply with engineering standards, regulations, and quality requirements. Prepare and/or present progress reports, including updates on project status. Stay up to date with engineering technology and industry standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and familiarity with Deltek Vision and Smartsheet or similar platforms. AutoCAD experience is a plus. Ability to exercise critical thinking and good independent judgment. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively multi‑task and work on multiple projects while adhering to project schedules and budgets. Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate project deadlines. Detail oriented, quality conscious, reliable and self‑motivated. Education and Experience B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field. 0-2 years of experience in a similar role or relevant internship experience. EI/EIT Certification or commitment to obtain within 1 year of hire. Basic knowledge of engineering principles, project management, and industry standards.
