Position Details

• Position: Physical Therapist (PT)
• Facility: Baptist Health, Montgomery, AL
• Facility Type: 492-Bed Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Primary Stroke Center
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Shift: Days, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Monday–Friday)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week

Schedule & Requirements

• Monday–Friday day schedule
• Weekend rotation: Once per month
• No on-call requirement
• May be asked to assist with Thanksgiving or Christmas coverage
• One major and one minor holiday may be required per facility policy
• Up to 7 days of RTO can be approved
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of experience
• Travelers with 1 year of experience accepted

Required Experience

• Acute Care Physical Therapy experience required
• Experience treating:
  • Trauma patients
  • Orthopedic patients
  • Neurological patients
  • Cardiac patients
  • Post-operative patients
  • ICU patients
  • Med-Surg patients
• Adaptable, coachable, and team-oriented personality required

Required Certifications

• BLS
• MSPT or DPT
• Active PT License (as required by state/facility)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform physical therapy evaluations and treatments for hospitalized patients
• Manage a caseload of approximately 10–12 patients daily (up to 15 units/day)
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Provide therapy services throughout the hospital, including:
  • Trauma Units
  • Orthopedics
  • Neuro
  • Cardiac
  • ICU
  • Med-Surg
  • Emergency Department
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, rehab aides, and interdisciplinary teams
• Document patient care in Cerner/PowerChart
