Position: Landscaping Crew Member
Employment: Seasonal — Spring through Fall and then per diem through winter.
Schedule: Full-time hours during the landscaping season
Winter: Seasonal layoff
Location: Central Connecticut
Pay: Based on experience and ability

Position Overview

S&W Property Services LLC is looking for a dependable, hardworking Seasonal Landscaping Crew Member to join our team for the spring, summer, and fall landscaping season.

This is a hands-on outdoor position working alongside our Crew Leader on residential and commercial properties throughout Central Connecticut. We are looking for someone who shows up on time, works hard, follows directions, takes care of equipment, and takes pride in leaving a property looking better than when we arrived.

This position is seasonal and is not a year-round position. Employees should expect a seasonal layoff during the winter months.

Responsibilities

• Lawn mowing, string trimming, edging, and blowing
• Spring and fall cleanups
• Mulch and topsoil installation
• Planting and general landscape installation
• Aeration, overseeding, and dethatching
• Shrub and hedge trimming
• Brush and debris removal
• Loading and unloading trucks and trailers
• Safely operating mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment
• Keeping trucks, trailers, equipment, and job sites clean and organized
• Following instructions from the Crew Leader
• Providing professional and respectful service while on customer properties

What We’re Looking For

• Dependable and able to arrive to work on time every day
• Strong work ethic and willingness to work outdoors
• Able to perform physically demanding work throughout the day
• Able to lift 50+ lbs regularly
• Comfortable working in heat, rain, dirt, and other outdoor conditions
• Able to work effectively as part of a crew
• Landscaping experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
• Experience operating commercial landscaping equipment is a plus
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are strongly preferred
