Job Description UW Medical Center – Montlake offers an Assistant Nurse Manager/Registered Nurse position on the Complex Medicine / Orthopedics unit. Work Schedule 90% FTE Days Department Description Unit 6SE is a 28‑bed acute medical‑surgical unit caring for non‑cardiac medical and orthopedic patients, including bone cancer diagnoses. Patient stays average six days with rapid turnover. Primary Job Responsibilities Perform leadership functions related to clinical practice, education, and/or management in collaboration with the Nurse Manager. Assume staff assignments and preceptor responsibilities. Provide leadership for unit and departmental activities that promote quality nursing care, effective problem solving, communication, and professional development. Requirements Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; applicable experience may substitute for education. Charge nurse experience, preceptor experience, and/or leadership experience. Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington. Current or recent medical‑surgical nursing experience. Compensation Pay range: $49.23 – $90.33 per hour. Additional premiums: BSN (or higher) Premium – $1.00/hour Certification (specialty certs) Premium – $1.25/hour Weekend Shift Premium – $4.00/hour Overtime Pay: $5,000 Relocation Assistance for eligible new employees.
