The TIG Welder will be responsible for interfacing with all engineering personnel to assist in the design, development, and prototyping of equipment and small wares for the foodservice industry. You will receive mentorship opportunities from Engineers and Senior Welding Managers on industry best practices and have the chance to work on several large-scale production projects. Ideal Candidate Background
- 1+ years of TIG Welding experience
- 2+ years working in a manufacturing environment
- Associate's or Technical Degree in related field preferred High School Diploma/GED will be accepted with additional years of work experience
- Ability to work and read blueprints and work collaboratively with production team to accomplish production/welding goals for clients
- Working knowledge of machines and hand tools for design, repair, and maintenance
- Fabrication experience in building electronic, mechanical, or prototype assemblies using composite materials, metal alloys, or light gauge sheet metal.
Scope of Work
- Interfaces with all engineering personnel to assist in the design, development, and prototyping of equipment and small wares for the foodservice industry
- Assists in the design, development, fabrication, test, and troubleshooting of mechanical and/or electronic component parts, prototype assemblies, or prototype systems
- Builds prototype assemblies and all necessary wiring harness assemblies.
- Assists in the material selection process.
- Fabricate wire form assemblies for evaluation.
- Fabricate light gauge sheet metal as required for prototyping.
- Supports component and product performance and life cycle testing.
- Monitors all prototype test procedures.
- Collects and organizes test data for prototype assemblies for review by Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Marketing.
- Supports prototype assemblies build plans, including any required overtime to accomplish on-time delivery.
- Assists in the physical transfer of any prototype systems or components to or from shipping/receiving
