As the Warehouse General Manager, you’ll be responsible for the efficient operation of the warehouse, including order fulfillment, shipping/receiving and inventory control activities. In this role,you’ll have a starring role in helping us continue to provide outstanding solutions for our global customers. \n \n Pay, benefits and more. \n We are eager to attract the best, so we offer competitive compensation and a generous benefits package, including full health insurance (medical, dental and vision), 401(k), life insurance, disability and the opportunity to participate in a company incentive plan. \n \n What you’ll do on a typical day: \n \n Oversee operational and personnel activities in the facility and ensure the safe, clean and efficient operation of the site \n Hire, train, develop and evaluate staff effectively, consulting with the HR team as needed \n Maintain work schedules and work assignments \n Ensure time and attendance is properly maintained, monitored and approved in a timely manner \n Ensure efficient utilization of all equipment and the coordination of maintenance needs \n Maintain and model the 7S Workplace Organization standard; ensure all safety procedures and policies are followed \n Partner with staff to manage and always maintain appropriate stock \n Ensure compliance with specified contract metrics \n Maintain high standards of operational efficiency \n Ensure quality management system procedures are implemented throughout functional groups \n Focus on productivity, quality and safety requirements in accordance with company needs and customer requirements \n \n What you need to succeed at GXO: \n At a minimum, you’ll need: \n \n 5 years of experience in a supply chain, warehousing or distribution environment \n 5 years managerial/supervisory experience \n Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment \n Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends \n \n It’d be great if you also have: \n \n Bachelor’s or master’s degree \n Bilingual English/Spanish \n Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge and experience \n Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment \n Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience \n Working knowledge of financial accounting, including developing and/or managing a P experience with HR practices \n \n We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains. \n \n GXO is a leading provider of cutting-edge supply chain solutions to the most successful companies in the world.
