Registered Nurse Cardiac Cath LabJob Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Candidates must have BLS and ACLS certifications. Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: The unit has 3 procedure rooms for Cardiac Cath Lab services. There are a total of 9 staff members, including RNs and Cath Lab Techs. During the day shift, the team consists of 1 supervisor, 3 RNs, and 2 Cath Lab Techs. On-call staff for the night shift includes 2 RNs and 1 Cath Lab Tech or 1 RN and 2 Cath Lab Techs. The patient care ratio is 3 team members per 1 patient procedure. The unit uses Phillips and Siemens fluoroscopy equipment. The electronic medical record system in use is MERGE Hemo-Cath Lab documentation system and Meditech Expanse. The preferred candidate will have electrophysiology experience. Typical procedures performed include left and right heart catheters, pacemaker/ICD insertions, watchman procedures, IR procedures, and vascular EP ablations (PFA). The ideal candidate will be a team player and flexible. Candidates without the required certifications will not be considered. Unit guidelines include universal precautions, timeout procedures, and moderate sedation guidelines.
