A growing construction organization is seeking an experienced Director of Finance & Accounting to lead and strengthen its accounting and financial operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is equally comfortable leading a team and rolling up their sleeves. The ideal candidate will help improve processes, develop the accounting team, strengthen financial reporting, and provide meaningful financial insight to executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Lead accounting and finance operations
Manage and develop the accounting team
Oversee month-end close, financial reporting, cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting
Remain hands-on with GL, reconciliations, payroll, AR/AP, and billing as needed
Oversee construction accounting including job costing, WIP, percentage-of-completion, retainage, and project profitability
Improve accounting processes, controls, systems, and reporting
Partner with operations and leadership on financial analysis and business decisions

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
3+ years of accounting leadership or management experience
Strong financial reporting, GL, budgeting, forecasting, and xhyhwjd cash management experience
Proven ability to build and develop an accounting team
Advanced Excel and strong systems aptitude
Construction accounting experience strongly preferred
Sage 100 Contractor, Procore, TimberScan/AvidXchange, or similar systems experience is a plus
