Qualifications:

• Valid Tennessee teaching license
• 105 or 461 endorsement required
• CDC (Comprehensive Developmental Classroom) certification
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Prior experience working with high school students in a special education capacity preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate daily instruction for a high school caseload in a Comprehensive Day Class
• Develop customized lesson plans and adapt curriculum materials to meet individual student needs
• Conduct assessments and maintain accurate student records in accordance with state and district requirements
• Coordinate and participate in IEP meetings, crafting goals and action plans tailored to each student
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
• Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and families to promote student success
