Interventional Cardiologist Needed Flag Staff, Arizona Locum Tenens Weekend STEMI Call Coverage WPA Medicine Staffing is seeking a BC Interventional Cardiologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Arizona. This assignment offers weekend-only STEMI call coverage in a collaborative cardiovascular program with advanced practice provider support and a streamlined credentialing process. Assignment Highlights Start: As soon as credentialed Coverage Type: Locum Tenens Commitment: Approximately 3 weekends per month Schedule: Friday 5:00 PM Monday 7:00 AM Setting: Inpatient Interventional Cardiology Onsite Requirement: Yes Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 30 days This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced interventional cardiologist seeking recurring weekend call coverage in a well-supported hospital environment. Providers will manage STEMI call, perform interventional procedures as needed, and provide inpatient consultative services for an adult patient population. Clinical responsibilities include responding to STEMI activations, evaluating floor consults, and performing catheter-based interventions when indicated. Physicians can expect an average of 15 consults and approximately 3 procedures per day while working alongside dedicated APP support. The average daily census is approximately 13 patients, allowing providers to deliver comprehensive cardiovascular care in a collaborative practice setting.
