Plc Technician

Job Title: PLC Technician Job Description
We are seeking a skilled PLC Maintenance Technician capable of troubleshooting and performing industrial and electrical repairs on a variety of machines, including a 3-year-old extrusion machine, presses, and CNC machines.
Responsibilities

• Rewire 3 phase 480v motors and handle relays.
• Possess knowledge of PLC programming and ladder logic, with a strong preference for those capable of minor editing.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of pH monitors, voltage, conductivity meters, and related equipment.
• Replace and set parameters for Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
• Troubleshoot and repair issues on the paint line.
• Conduct welding and fabrication tasks, such as using welding equipment, making basic brackets, and fabricating components.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and control drawings.
• Troubleshoot sensors, encoders, limit switches, safety devices, and communication networks.
• Exhibit strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to work directly on equipment.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and exhibit excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of electrical troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3-5 years of manufacturing experience in a maintenance-related position.
• Strong experience with Allen-Bradley PLC systems, RSLogix, and Studio 5000.
• Ability to independently diagnose and resolve production issues.
• Capability to modify PLC logic when necessary.
• Proficiency in providing remote support after hours if required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Fabrication experience is strongly preferred.
• Prior experience with extrusion, anodize, and automated paint lines is a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of Ethernet/IP Networks and Industrial Electrical Systems.

Work Environment
The work environment includes a first shift from 7am to 3pm and a second shift from 3pm to 11:30pm. You must be willing to work two Saturdays per month and overtime as needed, averaging 10 hours per week. The facility is an indoor/outdoor setup that is very dirty, loud, and experiences extreme temperatures, being hot in the summers and cold in the winters. It is a high-speed manufacturing environment with 200 pieces of equipment, including extrusion equipment that contributes to higher temperatures. Maintenance roles will need to work near or on this equipment as necessary.

This is a Permanent position based out of Memphis, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $83200.00 - $99840.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
