Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $23.25 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM Tue: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM Sun: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders. Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points and verify credentials, permissions, and/or visitor activity in line with location policies and applicable post instructions. Document observations, incidents, and/or interactions, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or local authorities as needed. Minimum Requirements: Possess a valid armed guard card and/or license. Possess a valid corrections officer license. Possess a valid law enforcement officer license. Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred. CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
