Memory Care Manager Department: Memory Support Employment Type: Full Time Location: Grand Rapids, MI Reporting To: Amber Lynch Compensation: $52,000 - $57,000 / year Description Schedule: Exempt (salary), min 40 hours per week | Monday - Friday | 8am - 4:30pm Department: Porter Hills Village | Memory Care Department What You’ll Do: Join our team as a Memory Care Manager and provide leadership and support to the memory care team. You'll help ensure the unique needs of each resident are met with the highest degree of quality care at all times. Key Responsibilities Assumes the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability for the Memory Care team members. Supervise, interview and train team members. Partner with Caregiver Retention Specialist to ensure a successful on-boarding experience and that proper training has been given. Partner with the Scheduling Coordinator and manage the monthly Memory Care team member schedule, vacation requests, and ensuring required coverage occurs. Oversee the payroll functions for the department. Oversees/collaborates with the Direct Care Supervisors. Works in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team on resident care plans, including participating in family communications and care conferences. Assists new residents and families in the orientation process. Assists all residents with activities of daily living, as needed according to their service plan. Assists residents in preparing for activities and social programs, and transporting as needed, along with planning, implementing, and evaluating both individual and group activities. Ensures accurate documentation in resident's charts. Oversees meal service for the residents within Memory Care. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Bachelor's Degree in a health field with a major in management or administration, or any combination of experience, education, or training which would provide the knowledge required by this position. Minimum of 5 years of related experience with at least 2 years supervisory experience. Minimum of one year of experience working in a Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, or Adult Foster Care (AFC Home) environment.
