Mental Health Technician - Griffin Memorial HospitalWe are seeking dedicated Mental Health Technicians to join our team and support individuals receiving behavioral health treatment in an inpatient setting. Under close supervision, this role plays a key part in delivering both direct and indirect care to patients in need of behavioral health support. Position Overview As a Mental Health Technician, you will help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment for patients. You will assist with therapeutic activities, promote wellness, and contribute to de-escalation efforts when needed. Your presence and behavior will serve as a positive example, offering guidance and encouragement to those in your care.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide Direct and Indirect Care: Support patients individually and in groups within an inpatient behavioral health setting.Ensure Safety and Well-Being: Participate in de-escalation strategies and help ensure a safe environment that meets patients' physical and emotional needs.Serve as a Role Model: Demonstrate effective problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and coping skills.Assist with Therapeutic Activities: Facilitate or support recreational, educational, and therapeutic activities that enhance emotional and mental wellness.Job Type/Salary12 Hour Shifts Available: (AM - 6:30AM- 7:00pm ; Or PM - 6:30pm-7:00am )Hourly Rates:Level I: $14.10 hourlyLevel II: $15.28 hourlyPotential to earn extra $$:Extra $.50/hour for working evenings and nightsExtra $.75/hour for working weekends and holidayMental Health Technicians also receive an extra $1 per hour shift pay, for any shift worked!
