Director of Social Media Do Good Crew (Podcast Newsletter Social Live Experiences) Overview Do Good Crew is seeking a high-impact Director of Social Media to own and drive the next phase of audience growth across our entire platform ecosystem. This is a player-coach role for someone who is equal parts visionary strategist and hands‑on content creator. You will architect the plan and produce social content that grows David Begnaud's personal brand, the Do Good Crew community, and the Person Who Believed in Me podcast. You'll partner directly with David Begnaud, our Founder and on‑camera talent, and our President/COO to build systems for viral, mission‑driven storytelling that engages millions and fuels meaningful partnerships and revenue. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in social media growth and content creation, is a native expert in short‑form and long‑form content tools, and thrives in fast‑moving, founder‑led environments - including the willingness to capture and create content. What This Person Will Drive Audience Growth & Platform Strategy Develop and own platform‑specific growth strategies across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging platforms. Grow, scale and monetize the David Begnaud, Do Good and The Person Who Believed In Me social accounts. Leverage deep knowledge of social algorithms, trending formats, and content optimization tactics to expand reach and attract new audiences. Own and manage content calendars, scheduling, and daily execution across all platforms. Hands‑On Content Creation (Mandatory) Personally create and edit social content using tools including CapCut, Canva, and platform‑native editors. Produce daily short‑form content with and for David Begnaud, including Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, and story‑driven clips. Develop social‑first creative frameworks that transform long‑form stories into high‑performance short‑form content. Collaborate with producers and editors to optimize content for tone, engagement, and mission alignment across all formats. Capture and create content in real‑time when news, moments, or stories demand it. Platform Monetization & Revenue Goals Drive and grow Facebook Ad Revenue, YouTube Monetization, and podcast programmatic income through audience growth and content optimization. Partner with the brand partnerships team to ensure social supports brand campaign rollouts, sponsor integrations, and activation strategies. This is a results‑driven, goals‑based role - revenue performance from social platforms is a shared success metric alongside audience growth. Identify and develop new platform monetization opportunities including creator programs, affiliate partnerships, and premium content offerings. Performance Analytics & Intelligence Design and maintain a social performance dashboard tracking follower growth, engagement rates, video views, CPM, and revenue KPIs. Provide weekly reports and strategic recommendations to executive leadership. Use data to inform experimentation - A/B testing content formats, posting cadence, hooks, and cross‑platform amplification strategies. Systems Building & Leadership Create and oversee content workflows, calendaring, and asset management systems to support a growing team. As the team scales, help hire and mentor additional social strategists, editors, and growth managers. Build infrastructure that ensures Do Good Crew can consistently produce at the highest level across every platform. Ideal Background 7+ years in social media growth, content creation, or digital media strategy - ideally for a major personality, mission‑led brand, or digital publisher. Proven track record of scaling personal brand or media accounts to 1M+ followers organically. Expert‑level hands‑on proficiency in CapCut, Canva, and similar content creation tools - you must be able to create. Deep technical knowledge of social algorithms, monetization programs, and growth mechanics across Meta, YouTube, and TikTok. Demonstrated expertise in ad monetization, data‑driven growth, and cross‑platform storytelling. Experience supporting on‑camera talent or high‑profile personalities with their personal brand and social presence. Comfortable in a fast‑moving, founder‑led environment - and genuinely excited to build from the ground up. Strategy informs everything, but your hands are always in it. Platform Native You understand TikTok culture, Instagram Reels behavior, YouTube algorithm mechanics, and Facebook distribution - and you know how to tailor storytelling for each without losing the mission. Mission‑Driven Storyteller You understand that Do Good Crew's content isn't just entertainment - it's an invitation to act. You know how to turn a human story into a piece of content that awakens something in people and makes good feel contagious. Entrepreneurial Excited to build from the ground up. Comfortable operating with ambiguity, moving fast, and figuring things out. Data‑Fluent You understand audience metrics, content performance analytics, CPM trends, and platform monetization KPIs. Adaptability You have a natural creator's instinct - when a moment worth capturing shows up, you're ready for it. What Makes Someone Exceptional in This Role Has personally grown a social account (their own or someone else's) from under 500K to 1M+ followers. Has worked closely with on‑camera talent or a public‑facing personality to build their digital brand. Brings a personal creative point of view - you have opinions about what good content looks like and the receipts to back it up. Experience at the intersection of editorial storytelling and social entertainment - not just one or the other. Understands the business side: how audience translates to revenue, how content supports partnerships, and how social fuels the entire media ecosystem. Has helped scale a brand or personality in a startup or early‑stage environment where resourcefulness beat resources. First 6–12 Months Success Metrics David Begnaud, Do Good Crew and The Person Who Believed In Me social accounts reach growth and engagement goals. Social platform ad revenue and monetization programs generating measurable, growing income. A repeatable content creation system is in place, with weekly cadence, templates, and workflows established. Performance dashboards are live, with weekly reporting to leadership that ties content decisions to growth outcomes.
