What You’ll Do

• Provide OB hospitalist coverage with a strong focus on high-risk pregnancies
• Cover urgent OB needs and emergencies on the unit
• Support the MFM service and its patients , coordinating care with maternal-fetal medicine specialists
• Assist with obstetrical procedures , including C-sections and other OB-related interventions
• Provide coverage for undoctored or unassigned OB patients as needed at the facility
• Collaborate closely with in-house OB/GYN coverage to ensure patient support across clinic and hospital needs

What You Need
Required

• BLS
• Board-certified Ob/Gyn
• MN license
  • If no MN license: IMLC required
• Trauma I or II experience
• Ability to start ASAP and support ongoing coverage needs

Preferred

• Experience handling high-risk OB scenarios
• Familiarity/interest in MFM-supported OB hospitalist work (generalist candidates welcome if aligned with high-risk focus)

About the Assignment
This assignment is for an OB Hospitalist who primarily covers the MFM service and high-risk OB patient needs , while remaining available for urgent OB emergencies. The facility provides 24/7 access to maternal fetal medicine specialists (daytime in-house; MFM on call at night), with approximately 11–12 deliveries per day and a Level II nursery . Documentation is handled in Epic (called Excellian at Allina), with electronic fetal monitoring support via Obix .
