Computer Aided Design Technician

We’re seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Electrical CAD Technician to support a team of designers, detailers, and engineers on a variety of exciting engineering projects! What You’ll Do: Assist designers, detailers, and engineers in developing accurate, high-quality engineering drawings. Prepare and revise engineering drawings, basic components, and plot drawings from sketches and layouts. Support drafting design and documentation across a variety of projects. Follow established company, client, and discipline-specific drafting standards and procedures. Utilize CAD software and standard drafting tools to support project deliverables. Research design challenges, identify potential solutions, and recommend improvements. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support special projects as assigned. What We’re Looking For: High school diploma or GED, along with coursework in drafting technology. 1–6 years of relevant CAD drafting or design experience. Hands-on experience with AutoCAD is required. MicroStation experience is highly preferred. Specialized CAD certification is a plus. Minimum GPA of 3.0. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated leadership potential, initiative, and a willingness to learn and grow professionally.
