Contract | Nights | 4×12-Hour Shifts (19:00-07:30) | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week; overtime may be available after 48 hours for applicable contracts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-surgical orthopedic care to patients with traumatic hip fractures, elective spine surgeries, and other traumatic orthopedic injuries on a 23-bed Tele/drip unit
• Manage patients requiring heart monitors, drains, PCAs, and Ketamine drips
• Function within a team nursing model, partnering with LPNs and PCTs to divide workload and deliver coordinated patient care; may also function in a primary nursing role based on unit needs
• Provide care to general medical-surgical and overflow patients as needed
• Float within the facility or to nearby affiliated campuses based on census and skill set, including potential assignment to high-risk respiratory units; traveler will be first to float at the facility's discretion
• Maintain availability to work every other weekend and holiday; must complete an online EKG competency course within 72 hours of contract signing

• Active RN license (any active state license or compact license accepted)
• BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass an online EKG/Dysrhythmia competency exam within 72 hours of contract signing
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local travelers are not accepted

• Minimum 1.5 years of experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center setting
• Strong orthopedic nursing background and familiarity with orthopedic patient populations
• Experience managing telemetry, drips (including Ketamine), PCAs, and surgical drains
