The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals presenting to the emergency department.Unit InformationType: Emergency Room (ER)Bed Capacity: 11 beds, 3 triage rooms, 2 trauma bays, 4 hall bedsAverage Patient Volume: 41 patients per dayNurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4Shifts & SchedulingShift Length: 12 hoursShift Type: NightsGuaranteed Hours: 36 hours per weekWeekend Requirement: YesHoliday Requirement: YesResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency department.Manage patient holds within the department.Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure quality care.Perform triage duties as assigned.Utilize electronic medical records for documentation and patient care.Participate in patient transport for diagnostic testing as required.QualificationsExperience: Minimum of 2 years in a relevant nursing position.Required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHAAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)Facility FeaturesIn-house security available.Technology includes telemetric systems; RNs are trained to interpret cardiac strips.Access to diagnostic imaging services such as X-ray and CT.Nursing staff may perform phlebotomy and initiate IV therapy.Additional InformationAll candidates must adhere to the facility's policies, including the ban on artificial nails in patient care areas. A clinical interview followed by a managerial review will be conducted as part of the selection process.
