Overview
Physical Therapist, inpatient rehabilitation, Mattoon, Illinois, United States. Start date: 06/15/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,223–$2,264 per week. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: 5x8 days (8:00 AM–4:30 PM) with a willingness to consider 4x10s. Work setting: hospital-based inpatient rehabilitation. This is a travel - temporary assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Plan and execute rehabilitation programs to help patients return to a higher level of physical function.
- Apply therapeutic exercise, gait training, manual techniques, neuromuscular re-education, and physical modalities as appropriate.
- Conduct initial and ongoing PT evaluations that meet APTA standards of practice and state requirements; develop and adjust a Plan of Care with short- and long-term goals.
- Document patient progress in accordance with approved medical documentation and payer requirements; maintain patient records and certifications/authorizations.
- Collaborate with therapy staff, department colleagues, and referral sources; communicate effectively with patients and caregivers; provide discharge planning and a home exercise program with instructions.
- Supervise physical therapy assistants as needed in a professional and consistent manner.

Requirements
- Active Illinois Physical Therapist License (REQUIRED)
- Active American Heart Association BLS (REQUIRED)
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience (REQUIRED)
- Inpatient experience (REQUIRED)
- Ability to work in an inpatient hospital setting
- Must meet any additional facility and payer documentation standards as part of the assignment
