  • Provide direct counseling, therapy, and psychotherapy to clients coping with terminal illnesses, focusing on their emotional and social well-being.

  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs and adjust them as necessary based on ongoing evaluations and patient feedback.

  • Conduct thorough assessments through interviews, case histories, and observational techniques to identify patients' psychosocial challenges effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily serve patients facing end-of-life challenges in the hospice care environment, who may experience anxiety, depression, and grief. Your role not only supports these clients but also extends to families, helping them navigate the emotional complexities of loss and caregiving. Culturally sensitive approaches are essential, as you may encounter individuals from diverse backgrounds with unique health beliefs and needs.

Qualifications\n

  • Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited graduate program.

  • Active and unrestricted Clinical Social Worker License (LCSW) within the state of Pennsylvania.

  • A minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience in a healthcare setting, including at least one year focused in a mental health context.
