Responsibilities Load and unload freight safely and claim‑free. Maximize space when loading freight. Complete pre and post‑trip inspections on all dock equipment. Properly document all freight control processes. Participate in Dayton Freight’s training and improvement programs. Be available for irregular work schedules, alternating shifts and/or assignments. Adhere to operational procedures and guidelines in the Dayton Freight Driver/Dockworker Manual. Qualifications Minimum 18 years of age. Basic math skills. Fluent in English. Able to pass a drug screen. Physical Demands This position requires the ability to perform routine physical tasks such as ascending/descending forklifts, operating forklifts, handling freight and equipment, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, climbing, and entering trailers.
