About Our Client

Client has a diverse commercial construction portfolio providing general contractor services throughout the Southeast and East coast.

Job Description

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on project plans and specifications.
Analyze project requirements to determine labor, material, and equipment costs.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information.
Review and assess bid proposals and negotiate pricing with vendors and suppliers.
Develop and maintain cost databases to support future estimating activities.
Monitor project budgets and provide updates or adjustments as needed.
Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and recommend alternatives where applicable.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations in cost estimation and reporting.

A successful Construction Estimator should have:

Experience with construction cost estimating processes and software.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills for vendor and subcontractor interactions.
Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
