Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to create personalized treatment plans for clients.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions based on evidence-based practices, working with individuals, couples, families, and groups.
- Implement a variety of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy to address specific client needs.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with state regulations and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, sharing insights and strategies that contribute to holistic client care.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities, staying current with the latest research and best practices in the mental health field.
Your expertise will impact a broad demographic, including individuals grappling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. You'll work intimately with clients, providing adaptable and sensitive counseling to meet their unique emotional and psychological needs. Qualifications- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is mandatory.
- Possession of active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) within the state of Connecticut is essential.
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a counseling role is required.
- Proficient understanding of legal and ethical standards pertinent to counseling practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build rapport with clients and work effectively within a team.
- Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance use treatment is highly advantageous.
- Experience utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems to document treatment progress and maintain thorough client records.
- Competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, adjusted based on expertise and caseload availability.
