Blending OperatorWe are on a mission to grow Second Nature Brands from $500MM to $1+B in the next 2 years through a combination of organic growth (increased distribution, e-commerce, and innovation) and through M&A. We have an opening for a Blending Operator position, who will be an important member of the supply chain team during this growth. Kar's Nuts Products facility located at 1200 East 14 Mile in Madison Heights, Michigan.A Blending Operator is a vital member of our production team, assists in creating blends/recipes for our famous Kars and Second Nature products.Regular working hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm with weekday or weekend overtime as needed. The starting rate is $16.00 per hour.Essential duties and responsibilities include:Ensure high food safety standards by inspecting and removing non-conforming materials.Correctly rotate inventory to reduce the likelihood of spoilage.Maintain accurate inventory counts by recording all essential information.Load and unload materials by hand and Hi-Lo.Safely and effectively operate Hi-Lo truck.Clean blending equipment and maintain a clean work environment.Understand cleaning processes and complete cleaning verification logs.Work with team lead and supervisor to hit performance targets.Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), Q&FS (Quality & Food Safety), and OSHA Safety policiesMaintain clean and safe work areaPerform other related duties as assignedQualificationsBe 18 years of age or olderHigh school diploma/GED;English ProficientMust have a positive attitudeSelf-directed;Ability to work well with peers and supervisors;Attention to detail;Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to keep production running efficiently.Ability to operate Hi-Lo truck (preferred)Physical RequirementsCan stand, bend, reach, and kneel, for extended periods frequently.Can walk up and down stairs frequently.Can lift up to 50 lbs frequently.Can wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by company.Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, you will regularly work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can be high and employee may be required to wear personal protective equipment.
