Front-end DeveloperJersey City, New Jersey, United StatesAbout the JobRole Overview:The person will be part of the Global Technology team for a major Insurance client. He/ She will work as a Frontend Developer and will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with application and infrastructure developers to design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable design and code using Angular. They will be part of an agile team that combines various backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives to solve complex problems. The person will also be required to participate actively in brainstorming sessions for improvement opportunities and take it to completion.A suitable candidate should have 6+ years of IT experience with at least 4+ years of experience working as a Frontend Developer. Experience in life insurance preferred but not mandatory.Key Responsibilities & SkillsetsCommon Skillsets:Superior analytical and problem solving skillsShould be able to work on a problem independently and prepare client ready deliverable with minimal or no supervisionGood communication skill for client interactionFrontend Development Skillsets:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Design, Computer Science, Software Engineering or WISDesign and implement web front-end and functionality utilizing current technologies including HTML5, CSS, Scss, React, Material UI FrameworkExperienced with implementing responsive designsExperienced in estimating timelines for features/tasks.Design on React and other current relevant web UI technologies to fulfill technical design requirements of new enhancementsExperience working on Cloud environment (especially AWS)Knowledge on Azure AD integration for Single Sign OnIntegrating frontend application with APIsExperience with Git and Git FlowsDesign solutions for improved usability through user centered design and iterative usability testingDocument usability and functional requirements from development to testing and releaseProvide measure for effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction of business, user, technical and brand objectivesProduce design requirements, interface standards, guidelines and prototypes that inform design effortsMentor and coach junior engineers and seek opportunity to bring in continuous improvements to implement UI best practicesDeep understanding and interest in design principles, typography, and white spaceCandidate Profile:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Design, Computer Science, Software Engineering or WIS6+ years experience in Frontend Development, preferably in Life Insurance but not mandatoryApplication development experienceTeam ManagementThis is a Hybrid role with 2 days per week, work from office
